2 Cor 8:13-14 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. at this present time your abundance being a supply for their need, so that their abundance also may become a supply for your need, that there may be equality;

Why a Citywide Fund? The verse above is the very heart and purpose of this fund. Salem ONE's team desired to create a way to help the body of Christ serve each other by having a pool of money sown into by the Churches that can get dispersed quickly whenever their is a need in the Church's of Salem. We believe God has given the Salem Church all that we need to do all that God has called us to do. It's just a matter of getting the funds to the right places at the right times at a citywide level.  And we found a way!

 

Why Use NCF? Since Salem ONE is not a "organization" but rather a mission, we have connected with NCF - a Christian non-profit that is here to help get donations get where they need to go! They are tax-deductible, can handle any type of gift, and will process all tax receipts. This way No money belongs to Salem ONE.

 

How Does it Work? Your gifts are placed into a fund set up for the Salem Church, and those funds are held by NCF indefinitely, waiting for our direction. They are only released to churches as ministries request them. Each request is reviewed by an all pastor Steering Team. Once approved we tell NCF what ministry to send the money to, and how much. It's that simple.

To Clarify further: 

• Salem ONE does not own any donations recieved but rather gives oversight to the fund within NCF and distributes the money upon request.

• Funds are tax-deductible and NCF handles all receipts for donations given.

• Funds dispersed can ONLY be used by approved non-profit ministries in the Salem area.

• Funds are distributed under the prayerful guidance, review and approval by the all pastor Steering Team.

• Money in this fund is devoted to the needs of the Church of Salem and will only be used for that purpose.
